Inferno

7 mins 42 sec  |   2023   |   Drama/Satire

A group of old friends gather around a dining table to reconnect after adjusting to new adulthood. Resentment simmers beneath the surface, and heat rises as they come to terms with their repressed and utter disdain for each other.

Director's Statement:

"Personal Hell looks different for everyone, and in formulating a capstone idea I reminisced on a moment in which a dinner with friends of mine at the time may as well have been an additional circle referenced in Dante’s Inferno.

I wanted to explore the complicated relationships between friends who share nothing but time and history. I wanted to highlight the point in time when one realises the kinds of people their once-friends have grown into, and the unidentifiable grief that comes with it.

Inferno is a letter of compassion to my past self and my true friends from my adolescence."
